Product Details
Product type Sterile Topical Ophthalmic Drops (Schedule H Prescription Drug)
Volume / Quantity 5 ml Dropper Bottle
Target Species Canines and Felines (Dogs and cats suffering from deep-seated bacterial eye infections accompanied by intense swelling or uveal tract inflammation)
Common Use Case Targeted management of bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and scleritis; reduction of severe inflammation and intraocular swelling in anterior uveitis; relief from intense allergic ocular flares; and post-operative control of inflammatory pathways following intraocular surgery (provided the cornea is entirely intact).

Corise Opthocare GP (5ml) is a prescription-only veterinary dual-action ophthalmic suspension formulated to simultaneously treat acute bacterial eye infections and severe localized tissue inflammation in dogs and cats. The high-potency formulation combines two active pharmaceutical ingredients: Gatifloxacin (0.3% w/v) and Prednisolone Acetate IP (1.0% w/v), preserved with Benzalkonium Chloride IP (0.005%) to guarantee solution sterility throughout the treatment course.

Gatifloxacin is an advanced, fourth-generation broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It exerts rapid bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, effectively blocking bacterial DNA replication and clearing stubborn pathogens. Complementing this, Prednisolone Acetate is a potent corticosteroid that suppresses the inflammatory response at a cellular level, delivering rapid relief from swelling, heat, redness, and allergic irritation. In veterinary ophthalmology, Opthocare GP is a premier option for managing non-ulcerative conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, and anterior uveitis.

Critical Medical Warning: Corticosteroid-containing eye medications like Opthocare GP must never be administered if a corneal ulcer, scratch, or abrasion is present. Steroids delay corneal healing and can lead to rapid corneal melting, perforation, or permanent blindness. A veterinarian must perform a fluorescein stain test to confirm an intact cornea before using this product.

Corise Opthocare GP Eye Drops are marketed and distributed in India by Corise Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. (operating as Swiss Biocare), headquartered in Thane, Maharashtra. Corise is a premier companion animal pharmaceutical enterprise highly regarded across the veterinary profession for engineering specialized ophthalmic solutions, cardiac medications, and advanced supportive care products.
