Product Details
Product type Sterile Topical Ophthalmic Drops (Schedule H Prescription Drug)
Volume / Quantity 5 ml Dropper Bottle
Target Species Canines and Felines (Dogs and cats diagnosed with bacterial ocular infections complicated by intense swelling or uveal tract inflammation)
Common Use Case Treatment of acute bacterial conjunctivitis and deep ophthalmic infections; rapid reduction of ocular swelling, heat, and severe redness; clinical management of non-infectious anterior uveitis; post-operative care following intraocular surgical procedures to suppress inflammatory cascades; and relief from intense allergic eye flares with secondary bacterial risks.

Corise Opthocare PD (5ml) is a prescription-only veterinary dual-action ophthalmic solution formulated to treat acute bacterial eye infections accompanied by severe, non-ulcerative ocular inflammation, swelling, and deep-tissue irritation in dogs and cats. The formulation contains a combination of two active pharmaceutical ingredients: Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride IP (0.5% w/v) and Prednisolone Acetate IP (1.0% w/v).

Moxifloxacin is an advanced, fourth-generation broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that provides bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens by disrupting bacterial DNA replication. Complementing this, Prednisolone Acetate is a potent corticosteroid that inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators, rapidly reducing swelling, corneal redness, and cellular infiltration. In veterinary medicine, Opthocare PD is indicated for severe bacterial conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis, and post-operative inflammation management.

Critical Warning: Corticosteroid-containing eye drops like Opthocare PD must never be used if a corneal ulcer or abrasion is present, as they delay healing and can lead to corneal perforation or blindness. A veterinarian must perform a fluorescein stain test prior to administration.

Corise Opthocare PD Eye Drops are manufactured and marketed in India by Corise Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. (also operating as Swiss Biocare), headquartered in Thane, Maharashtra.
