Corise Saliotic Plus (20ml) is a prescription-only, multi-action veterinary otic solution engineered for the comprehensive treatment of acute and chronic otitis externa (outer ear infections) in dogs and cats. Unlike standard preventative ear cleaners, this therapeutic formulation features a high-potency 4-in-1 combination of active pharmaceutical ingredients: Gentamicin Sulphate USP, Beclomethasone Dipropionate, Clotrimazole IP, and Lignocaine Hydrochloride IP.
Each component targets a specific aspect of painful ear conditions: Gentamicin acts as a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic that eliminates opportunistic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Clotrimazole delivers robust antifungal activity to eradicate persistent yeast infections (such as Malassezia pachydermatis). Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a highly effective corticosteroid that rapidly minimizes localized swelling, intense redness, and allergic tissue inflammation inside the ear canal. Finally, Lignocaine (Lidocaine) Hydrochloride functions as a local anesthetic, temporarily blocking nerve signals to give your pet immediate, soothing relief from agonizing pain and the persistent itch-scratch reflex. Together, they resolve foul odors, dark discharge, and head shaking.
Critical Safety Warning: Saliotic Plus must never be administered if the pet’s eardrum (tympanic membrane) is torn or perforated. Infusing aminoglycosides or steroids into a ruptured ear canal can cause permanent hearing loss or vestibular toxicity (loss of balance). A veterinarian must perform an otoscopic exam to confirm the eardrum is intact before use.
