Oriheal Opthovet DT (5ml) is a prescription-strength, dual-action veterinary ophthalmic solution engineered for the rapid reduction and long-term control of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in dogs and cats diagnosed with primary or secondary glaucoma. The high-potency formula combines two complementary antiglaucoma medications: Dorzolamide Hydrochloride (2.0% w/v) and Timolol Maleate IP (0.5% w/v).
Glaucoma is a painful, time-sensitive condition where an imbalance in fluid dynamics causes pressure to build up inside the eye, which can lead to permanent optic nerve damage and blindness if left unchecked. Opthovet DT addresses this by attacking fluid production from two different biological angles. Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that directly reduces the biochemical production of aqueous humor (the fluid inside the eye). Timolol Maleate is a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker that works synergistically to further suppress fluid secretion while optimizing drainage pathways. Applied topically, Opthovet DT helps lower internal eye pressure, alleviating severe ocular pain and protecting your pet's long-term vision.
Special Medical Precaution: Because Timolol Maleate can be absorbed systemically through the tear ducts, this product must be used with extreme caution in pets with pre-existing heart conditions (such as bradycardia or heart failure), asthma, or chronic respiratory issues.
