Beaphar Ear Cleaner (50ml) is a gentle, alcohol-free, non-irritating veterinary hygiene solution engineered for the routine cleansing, debris removal, and conditioning of the external ear canals in dogs and cats. The specialized over-the-counter formulation is driven by a balanced combination of functional active ingredients: Cetrimide (1.50 g/L), Chlorhexidine Gluconate (0.15 g/L), Menthol (1.00 g/L), and MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane), suspended in a soothing aqueous emollient base.
Each component is selected to safely optimize the ear canal microenvironment:
- Mild Antiseptic Action: The synergy of Cetrimide (a quaternary ammonium compound) and Chlorhexidine Gluconate delivers mild antimicrobial protection, helping suppress sub-clinical bacterial and yeast overgrowth while sanitizing the skin lining.

Wax Dissolving & Soothing: The liquid vehicle gently softens and liquefies accumulation of hardened earwax, dirt, and greasy debris, enabling easy removal without aggressive physical scrubbing. Menthol imparts an immediate cooling sensation that helps calm mild itchiness and surface irritation.

Important Safety Note: Beaphar Ear Cleaner is an over-the-counter hygienic maintenance flush and is not a treatment for severe ear infections. If your pet is displaying symptoms of severe otitis—such as intense head shaking, an asymmetrical head tilt, agonizing pain when touched, or a heavy, foul-smelling purulent (pus) discharge—discontinue use and consult a veterinary surgeon immediately.
