Drools EarSoothe-TE (50ml) is an advanced, sterile veterinary otic solution engineered for the definitive breakdown of complex bacterial biofilms, deep mucolytic cleansing, and supportive treatment of persistent external ear infections (otitis externa) in dogs and cats. This high-performance therapeutic cleanser features a dual-action, clinically backed combination of a chelating buffer and an advanced mucolytic agent: Tris (Tromethamine) EDTA (1.00% w/v) and N-Acetyl Cysteine (1.35% w/v), suspended in a sterile aqueous vehicle.
Each active compound is selected to address chronic, antibiotic-resistant, or recurrent ear pathogens:
- Anti-Biofilm & Antibacterial Potentiation: Tris-EDTA functions as an effective alkalinizing buffer solution. By binding essential calcium and magnesium ions, it actively damages and destabilizes the protective cell walls of Gram-negative pathogens (such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa). This anti-biofilm action allows concurrent topical prescription antibiotic drops to penetrate deeper and work more efficiently.
